The honest answer is that a liquefied cold pack on arrival is expected rather than alarming.

A single phase-change pack in a thin-walled box holds below ten degrees for roughly one to two days at twenty-five degrees ambient and under a day at thirty-five. On a twelve-day lane the material is at ambient for most of the journey regardless of what was packed.

Tracking quality is the more informative signal: continuous scanning at every hop indicates a real logistics chain, and a tracking number that goes dark for a week indicates something else.

Solid-state stability of lyophilised peptides at ambient is well documented in formulation studies, with residual moisture as the dominant variable.

A liquefied pack on arrival is expected. It is not evidence of a problem.

Asking a supplier to hold a shipment during a heatwave is a reasonable request that the better ones honour, and it costs a week rather than an order.

Answering this needs the origin and destination pair, because lane behaviour varies far more than carrier marketing suggests.

Anything shipped in solution is a genuinely different risk, because hydrolysis and deamidation proceed in the aqueous phase and are strongly temperature-dependent.

It helps to be literal here: a single-use temperature data logger costs a few pounds and converts speculation into a record. If the temperature history matters to you, buy one rather than arguing about packaging.

A cold pack that arrived hard tells you about the last day of transit and nothing about the first eleven.

Buy a data logger if the temperature history genuinely matters to you.

Reported ranges from Chinese origins to western Europe cluster around nine to fourteen days with tracking, with inland origins adding a domestic leg and coastal ones sometimes beating the range.

Phase-change pack hold times are a function of mass, latent heat and box insulation, and published figures for small parcels are on the order of a day or two.

The caveat is that a warm transit is survivable for a solid and not for a solution, and the difference is not marginal.

Ask for a hold during a heatwave. The better suppliers agree without being pushed.
